In this article about entrepreneurship versus captains of industry, Duncan Cheatle comments on the difficulties facing entrepreneurs:

Loneliness is a big challenge for entrepreneurs, according to Duncan Cheatle, who runs The Supper Club, a members-only networking group for people running start-up businesses with at least Pounds 1m in sales.

“You are sort of banging your head against a brick wall because often there aren’t people among your group of friends and family doing what you are doing and in whom you can confide in,” he says.

“You cannot really turn to people in your business for an opinion because almost every big decision affects them. You can talk to advisers, but they want paying.”
