St James’s Place, the upmarket wealth manager, has defied recent turmoil in the world’s financial markets by turning in forecast-beating full-year results and reiterating long-term growth targets.
Sales at the group, which counts company executives and Premiership footballers among its clients, jumped 23 per cent to £428.6m for the year to December 31 on an annual premium equivalent basis, a widely used industry measure.
